Air Conditioning
If you think it can get cold here in the winter, wait until the sun is baking you out on the road. Keep your cool by maintaining your air conditioning system!
There are a lot of pipes and hoses in an air-con system, in addition to compressors, belts and refrigerant. We service them all. We can even replace nasty old refrigerant with more advanced, eco-friendly stuff.
Did you know that air conditioning systems can also quickly remove excess moisture from inside your vehicle, even in the winter? This helps clear the view when you’re fogging up.
Squeeling belts, ineffective cooling or sluggish response of your cooling system are all signs it should be checked over. We’re a qualified and approved service centre and can give your car a clean bill of air conditioning health.
A/C Performance Test, Includes Checking refrigerant leaks with UV light and Checking Vent temperatures. Testing both high and low side port pressures. Visually inspect all A/C components. $49.95
Problem:
Condensation in your vehicle’s air conditioning system promotes fungus, mold and bacterial growth that is blown into the passenger compartment. Add to this nauseating smell the sound of an A/C compressor making a clacking sound due to a depletion of oil.
Solution:
Clean out the air conditioning lines, evaporator and ventilator and then kill any bacteria mold or fungi. Then, deodorize the entire A/C system and the vehicle’s interior. Finally, after a complete inspection for leaks and wear, our technicians will measure and replenish the oil in the compressor. The air inside your vehicle will be much cleaner and 4 to 5 degrees cooler, thanks to increased efficiency.

Tip:
If you get into your hot parked car, don’t just blast the air conditioning. Instead, drive off with the windows down for a minute or so to get that solar-heated air out of the car, then put up the front windows, turn on the air conditioning while gradually closing the rear windows. It reduces the strain on your car’s system and will get you cooler faster.
Tip:
Leaving a car idling with the air conditioning on in the hot summer can be wasteful and might actually cause your car to overheat.
