I want to convey my appreciation to Brett for a job well done on my Wife’s Subaru Outback. Wetook a 325 km drive out on the hwy #1 on Wednesday and noted that the engine is developingmore power than before as it is noticeably more responsive to throttle input. I have the feelingthose leaking head gaskets were also letting some combustion gases escape and robbinghorsepower too!
I know the automotive repair world these days likes to use the term “Technician” whendescribing people who repair cars. Having worked with and been the recipient of work done bymany “technicians” I think that term is applied too loosely at times. It’s a great “marketing” wordused in the industry but it does not pay a higher pay rate to or provide better workmanship bythose so called.
Although archaic, I prefer “mechanic” as to me it better describes someone who examinesand understands machinery that produces power and motion. And Brett is that unique type ofindividual who has the intuition and feel for the craft. We are very pleased to have experiencedBrett’s skill and workmanship again. It’s always a good day when one gets excellent value forhard earned money spent.
